DCWC Scholarships

In 2011, with the help of a legacy gift in remembrance of one of our past members, DCWC established the scholarship fund which allows the award of a minimum of four scholarships to female high school students who are continuing their education after graduation. Applicants must be graduating from high school and an active member of a Dayton area Roman Catholic Church.

Congratulations to our 2024 recipients!

The Dayton Catholic Women’s Club (DCWC) 2024 Scholarship Awards, presented to local female Catholic high school graduating seniors, for use in their freshman year of college. The Scholarship winners were selected from among numerous applicants, giving consideration to academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, leadership, personal essays, financial need, and demonstrated Catholic faith.

DCWC Grants

Each year, the Dayton Catholic Women’s Club awards Charity Grants to worthy 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organizations throughout the Miami Valley area who provide services to women, children and/or families.

All Grant Applications are reviewed by the Grants Committee and approved by the DCWC Board Members. Size and number of Grant Awards are directly related to the amount of DCWC Grants funds available each year, and typically have ranged from $200 to $2000.

Before applying, please note the following Criteria which must be met, in order for a Grant Application to be considered:

  • Your organization must qualify as a Charity as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Your organization does not participate in, support, or promote, any activity that is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Your Grant Application must comply with all stated Criteria and Guidelines, and it must provide a compelling case for the value of supporting a specific religious, educational, humanitarian, or charitable project within your organization.
  • All grants must be submitted electronically. Hard copies will no longer be accepted.

Questions regarding this DCWC Charity Grant Application may be addressed to the DCWC Grants Committee Coordinator, Sue Koverman, at skoverman1@gmail.com.
