Vision: The vision of the Dayton Catholic Women's Club is to invite and involve all women into active membership.
We urge all DCWC Members to pray to Our Lady of Good Counsel, to intercede for us as we ask for God's help.
May the Good Lord hear our prayers for the safekeeping of all people,
especially our DCWC Members and their Families,
and may He guide the World in its fight against the scourge of the Coronavirus Pandemic

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day 2021, in lieu of our traditional St. Patrick's Day Card & Game Party and Luncheon Event, DCWC Members participated in a fundraising event to collect money and paper products to donate to St. Mary Development Corporation (see https:/www.stmarydevelopment.org). Thanks to more than 200 of our generous DCWC members and friends, over $6,000 of contributions were received for the St. Patrick's POT O' GOLD raffles and donations.
The lucky Raffle prize winners were Dorothy Stein, Barbara Marsh, Bobbi Staigers, and Marilyn McMichael. The lucky ladies who won the POT O' GOLD prizes filled with surprises and gift cards were Margaret Gottschlich, Carolyn Good, and Georgene Lohrey.
$800 in direct donations went to St. Mary Development Corporation, along with an entire overflowing SUV-load of donated paper products for their senior residents. Proceeds from the St. Pat Event will be used to help fund the DCWC Scholarships and Charitable Grants, which are awarded each year to assist graduating high school seniors as well as those in need, throughout the Miami Valley Community.
All DCWC Members are encouraged to participate in similar much-needed charitable activities throughout the year, to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
In celebration of Christmas 2020, in lieu of our traditional DCWC Christmas Boutique and Luncheon, DCWC Members participated in a fundraising event to collect money and household items to make Christmas brighter for families less fortunate. Funds collected from raffles and donations, and items contributed by DCWC members, all were used in support of providing Christmas Gifts for families living at the St. Vincent de Paul Gateway Shelter.
For several days leading up to Christmas, Gift Workshops were held at the home of DCWC Board Member and Christmas Gifts Project Chair, Ruth Galyon. Using funds contributed by our very generous DCWC members and friends, special gift items were purchased by DCWC volunteers. These, along with hundreds of donated practical necessities, were assembled by creative DCWC elves, who put together beautiful Gift Baskets and Gift Bags to be given to homeless families.
Articles collected included towels, wash cloths, underwear, sox, toothbrushes, toiletries, and hygiene items. These, together with donated bed sheets, laundry detergent, and other essential household items, were all assembled into Gift Baskets for 50 mothers. In addition, 100 delightful Christmas Gift Bags were filled with warm hats, gloves, underwear, sox, crayons, coloring books, storybooks, candy, and more. All were prepared and transported in time for a Christmas morning surprise, for children and mothers temporarily staying at the Shelter.
All DCWC Members are encouraged to participate in similar much-needed charitable activities throughout the year, to help those in need throughout the Miami Valley Community.
